If you weren't able to make it to Comic Con, you can still get a fix of Tron Legacy. While the eight-minute clip that was previewed is still under wraps, Disney has released the new trailer that they also ran during their Tron Legacy panel. It doesn't have the visuals that the preview footage did, but it gives us more of an idea of what the general plot is and how Sam Flynn gets sucked into the Tron world.

The first major panel at this year’s Comic Con was, of course, the one for Tron Legacy. This was a really fun panel, alternating back and forth between film footage and questions for the actors and creators. There were two key points that they tried to put across here: that Tron Legacy is, at its core, a father/son story, and that one of the aims of the film is to create a new mythology. The visuals, naturally, are meant to enhance these elements, especially its mythological aspirations.

Looking just as cool as everything Tron Legacy-related has looked so far, some new promo images for that film were discovered a few days ago by FirstShowing.net. Some of this is concept art, and some of it seems to be actual stills from the movie. All of it is awesome.

According to The Hollywood Reporter's Heat Vision blog, Disney is already putting the pieces in place for their follow-up to Tron Legacy, which comes out this December.

I guess the studios were waiting for the Oscars to pass. Earlier we got the new trailer for Iron Man 2, and now we get one for Tron Legacy.

What can I say? It's Tron Legacy. Looks great.
