I somehow missed this, but yesterday /Film posted a great new short film by Carl Rinsch, director of the upcoming Creature from the Black Lagoon remake and once-director of the upcoming Alien prequel (until it was handed over to Ridley Scott, who happens to be Rinsch's mentor).

Wow. Watch this short film, entitled "Connected," directed by Jens Raunkjær Christensen and Jonas Drotner Mouritsen in Faxe Kalkbrud, Denmark. It follows two nameless characters trekking through a post-apocalyptic wasteland with a very unique air source. The film is both imagistic and dramatic, and its story is simultaneously beautiful, haunting, and surprising.
