The Sci-Fi Block Evolves
If you've been visiting the site regularly, you've probably noticed quite a few changes going on at The Sci-Fi Block. We've spruced things up with some minor visual adjustments, and, more importantly, we've added new kinds of content. It just so happens that a lot of the new stuff landed in a span of two days, from September 15 to 16. First we posted our first DVD review, X-Men Origins: Wolverine (2-Disc Special Edition); then we posted our first Blu-ray review, X-Men Origins: Wolverine (Ultimate 2-Disc Edition); and finally we posted our first feature article, our editor in chief's interview with The Surrogates author Robert Venditti. This is all in addition to our newsreel, which we started running last month, and, of course, our film reviews, on which the site remains focused.
These three new areas of the site will be regularly updated from now on, and each has its own spot on on our menu (though currently the sections are a little scant, given how new they are), so visit regularly, and there will often be new things to find. Tomorrow and the rest of the week will see a good deal more reviews and features. Watch for our Blu-ray reviews of Star Trek: The Original Series - Season 2 and Gojira (Godzilla, 1954), our DVD review of Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles - Season 2, and our "Beginner's Guide to The Surrogates" article, to prepare you for this Friday's film adaptation of that comic.
If you want an easy way to keep up with all our new stuff, you can always subscribe to our RSS feed or follow us on Twitter. Until next time, enjoy the new stuff, watch for more new things in the near future, and send us all your questions or comments.
