11.6.08 Michael Crichton: 1942-2008

We're a little late to post this, but in case you haven't heard, Michael Crichton passed away Tuesday, Novemeber 4, in Los Angeles, at the young age of 66. Crichton had been struggling with cancer. Crichton was the author of many science fiction novels, and he also wrote a number of screenplays, some of which were based on his novels. Some of his more famous works include Jurassic Park (novel and screenplay), The Andromeda Strain (novel and screenplay), and Sphere (novel). This is certainly a great loss to the science fiction community and to the world of literature. He will always be remembered. His family requests privacy during this time.
